MICRO-CREDENTIAL: DIGITAL CONTENT DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP 2022

7 October 2022 – E – Learning Unit, Centre for Modern Languages (CML), UMP has successfully organised a two-day Micro-Credential: Digital Content Development Workshop for selected CML academic courses on 29 - 30 September 2022 at Seminar Room 2, UMP Pekan Library.

The objective of this workshop is to encourage the CML teaching staff involved to focus more on developing and completing the digital content of the Micro-Credential academic courses which was targeted by the university to be ready by October 2022. All in all, 5 undergraduate courses and 4 postgraduate courses are in the development process.


It started off with the knowledge sharing session from one of the completed Micro-Credential courses, the developers of Technical Product Presentation and later the explanation of the Student Learning Time (SLT) calculation for Micro-Credential by Dr Nor Yazi Binti Khamis.

In addition, staff from Centre of Instructional Resources & e – Learning (CIReL) were invited to assist the developers in producing quality digital content. There were also five Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) appointed to review and provide feedback to the digital content developers so that the quality of the digital content developed coincides with the existing course content.

In short, it was a beneficial workshop as well as a great exposure for the teaching staff and SMEs involved to be aware of the required criteria in developing the digital course content for Micro-Credential.
