GOOGLE DRAWINGS UNLOCKED

Pekan, 25 March 2021 - “We must prepare our academic staff immediately,” urges YBhg. Profesor Ir. Dr. Wan Azhar bin Wan Yusoff, the dynamic Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) Vice Chancellor. Instantly after the Malaysian Government Movement Control Order (MCO) was announced in March 2020, the university education ecosystem has made a grand leap and changed entirely.

Lectures are conducted online, and teaching instructors are bound to relearn the concept of virtual teaching and learning.

Therefore, Center for Modern Languages (CML) E-Learning Unit has played an active part in disseminating digital knowledge and skills to its staff in the hopes of achieving meaningful learning experience amongst its undergraduates. Amongst the unit series of trainings this year is ‘Creating T&L Infographic using Google Drawings’.

A number of 19 CML academic and teaching instructors has gathered virtually via Google Meet to learn the use of Google Drawings in creating teaching and learning infographic. The cloud service can be utilised by the instructors to enhance their classroom delivery and hoped to tap into better classroom engagement.

The pandemic resulted in an ensuing long recovery period and online classes will play an even bigger role in supporting undergraduate lives and ensuring their future-readiness. Hence, it is vital for teaching instructors to vary teaching methods in their online classroom settings.
