UMP Students Sat for MUET amidst Covid-19 Outbreak

30th January 2021 - Covid-19 pandemic has had a major impact on higher education institutions (HEI) around the world. In Malaysia, a large number of students are having trouble fulfilling entrance requirements for undergraduate studies as they have been unable to sit for the Malaysian University English Test (MUET), due to several postponement to various movement control orders (MCOs) imposed since March last year.

Sharing is indeed caring

On 24 March 2021, a video editing class was successfully arranged for Kelas Al-Qur’an dan Fardhu Ain (KAFA) teachers at the Islamic and Human Development Centre, UMP. The class focused on the introduction to Kinemaster application to be utilised by the KAFA instructors to assist them in producing more comprehensive teaching and learning materials. Other than that, the instructors were also familiarised with chroma-key editing involving video production technique compositing procedures and effective ways to create high quality videos.

Pekan, 22 January 2021- The first virtual meeting was held between Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) and Tianjin Normal University, China to discuss potential collaborations between the two universities. The three-hour meeting began at 10 a.m. and ended at about 1 p.m.

Colleagues Rally Round for Flood Affected Colleague

It is not too late to wish everyone a Happy New Year in spite of the wet and windy season welcoming the start of 2021. Continuous cold and heavy rain since New Year’s Eve caused flooding in several states of the country and parts of Pahang were swamped in floodwaters. Our close associate, Encik Mohd Iszuani Bin Mohd Hassan or better known as Sensei Iszuani, from Maran suffered properties damage and loss due to the flooding on the weekend, and was later brought to a nearby relief center.
