Program Angpau Design

On 15 January 2021, 8pm to 10pm, Mandarin Language Society (MLS) in collaboration with Pusat Kebudayaan Ump organized a Program Angpau Event with a theme of ‘True Story Of Angpau’. This program was held using the application Facebook Live Mandarin Language Society.

In addressing the present issue in language learning and teaching in the era Covid-19, the Centre for Modern Languages, Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) in collaboration with Universitas Ahmad Dahlan hosted a Webinar on Language Learning and Teaching (WeLLT) 2020 on 28 October 2020. Professor Dr. Ain Nadzimah Abdullah’s 1-hour webinar session made sociolinguistic studies exciting by providing insightful examples of language variations such as ‘burger boy talk’, as well as of studies that are ongoing and that had been done.

MUET Reading: Intensive Class

11 March 2020 – To better prepare UMP MUET candidates this year, the Centre for Modern Languages (CML) Competency Unit took the initiative to organise a three-hour intensive class specifically focusing on the reading component. The session was held at Block X, Gambang Campus involving quite a number of interested students. On a side note, all of them were UMP final-year students who intended to pursue their bachelor’s degree education straight after Diploma graduation.
